Use your teachings skills to help change the world!
Dunamis Education Society is pleased to offer the opportunity for qualified teachers to travel to Uganda to volunteer as teacher-trainers in various schools in. Each school is registered with the Ugandan Ministry of Education. Volunteers also have the opportunity to use building and other manual skills on school facilities and programs.
In July 2008, a team of 6 teachers from Vancouver, BC Canada worked on a school project in Rwentutu, western Uganda, which is set in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains near the Congolese border. The primary school is two years old and now caters to 160 students. The school is growing fast and has recently built sufficient classrooms to house grades K to grade 7. The 2008 team funded, purchased and set up books for a school library. The teachers also worked with the Ugandan teachers and students to help enrich the school programs.
If you are interested in being part of a teacher team serving short-term at Rwentutu in the future please contact:
