| In November 2009, after major rains in the area, the Tirrim school project was finally on its way. The road conditions after the rains improved to the point that the transporter trucks could ship the school building materials in from Nairobi and work could begin.
The first item to be erected was the metal framework. |
Quote from Tirrim Project Director:
Dear (Classrooms for Africa),
"Just a brief update to keep you in the picture. The crew arrived safely in Korr with their truck, and they have put up the basic structure that will serve as a classroom. It is so exciting - we had just visited the nursery school of Nahagan and the Standard one class the previous week, where they were sitting under the shade of the thorn tree. The community is very excited.
Every blessing!" |
