Eagle's Nest Christian School is situated on the Cape Flats (sand dune area) in an informal settlement of extremely disadvantaged people. Due to the harsh and dangerous conditions in the area, the school consists of portable buildings which could be moved if necessary. In the 2009 school year Grade 3 was added to the school bringing the number of students to 106. Grade 2 and 3 share a new portable classroom at present. The school has received over 100 applications for Reception (Kindergarten) for 2010 so the school is planning to run 2 Kindergarten classes. They also plan to open a second school in Wallacedene in 2011.
