Dunamis Student Bursaries

"The Power of ONE Bursary to Make a Difference"

In an effort to support Christian school education, the Dunamis Education Society has started a program of bursary funds. Bursaries are awarded on an annual basis to deserving students in schools which have been supported by the Classrooms for Africa program. Students are selected using the following criteria:

  1. Academic grades
  2. Effort
  3. Student potential
  4. Financial need
  5. Staff recommendations
  6. Special criteria (ie. arts, sports, outreach)

The donors are invited to help choose the bursary name and establish any special criteria they may wish to apply to the bursary. Information about the school and student will be provided

Process:

  • As funds are made available by donors, schools will be asked to identify deserving students. The recipients of the bursaries for the next school year will receive notification at a special ceremony at the end of the current school year
  • Any person or group who wishes to donate a bursary to a qualifying student should collect monies and email the total bursary to Dunamis
  • For the sake of banking efficiency, a bursary should be no less than $250
  • A total bursary can be donated by Canadian donors using the "Donate Now" button at the top right of this page. Canadian funds are tax-receiptable.

Please consider providing the funds for a student to receive a Christian education in Africa for a year!
